BBC News@bbcnews Ed Sheeran's concerts in Massachusetts on Friday and Saturday, at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, near Boston, have been cancelled. The tour has been in the headlines because of a row over a decision to drop Sheeran's support act Macklemore for making pro-Palestinian comments on stage. Stadium owners including the Gillette Stadium's Robert Kraft lobbied for his removal. @cleveradjacent Dear BBC the comments were not "pro Palestinian" they were "Free Palestine." The MOVEMENT is the problem not the cause. free Palestine is what people yell before they've shot, stabbed & murdered Jews around the world. It's not denounced chants for intifada or "from the river to the sea" which means to Jewish people the inhalation of 1/2 the worlds Jewish population. The movement is not demanding peace or solutions to a dire problem. It is not, in fact, working to help Palestinians find a real path to safety and self-determination. If you conflate pro-Palestinian with Free Palestine then you have no idea why Jews are terrified by the movement. Most Jews I know are pro-Palestinian. And also believe in Israel's right to exist.
