The Global Citizen Award is given for "the accomplishments of key global citizens seeking to improve the state of the world". Can you name one improvement where Albanese has "improved the world"? This is a VANITY award. Albanese used his acceptance speech to spread panic about the 'collapse' of the 'post-1945 world order' - and then returned to his table with former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. No one put it better than the Nightly's journalist Latika M Bourke who asked Albanese if he feels 'like a bit of a fraud' for accepting an award like this.
