The DMV Daily@thedmvdaily Former child actor Bobbe Thompson, best known for his role as Stanley on “That’s So Raven,” has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a prohibited person. According to prosecutors, Iowa State Patrol troopers stopped Thompson on Sept. 22, 2025, after clocking him driving 104 mph in a 70-mph zone. During the traffic stop, authorities found a loaded .40-caliber pistol that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri. A federal grand jury indicted Thompson in January, and he pleaded guilty in April. His sentence includes three years of supervised release and will run consecutively to any potential prison sentence resulting from pending criminal cases in Washington and Missouri. Thompson, 30, rose to fame as a child actor during the 2000s. In addition to playing Stanley on “That’s So Raven,” he portrayed Ronnie Shields in the 2008 comedy “Role Models.” His other credits include “30 Rock,” Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and MTV’s “Wild ’N Out.”
