It is known for its impressive size, muscular build, and remarkable physical strength. Traditionally, Kangals have been used to protect sheep and other livestock from predators. Their protective instincts, courage, and alert nature make them well suited to guarding animals across large areas. The breed is also known for having exceptionally powerful jaws. A bite force of about 743 PSI is often attributed to the Kangal, although reported measurements can vary depending on the testing method used. Beyond their strength, Kangals are valued for their loyalty and protective nature. Their combination of size, endurance, and guarding instincts has made them one of Turkey’s best known working dog breeds.

@carriemae658 Can this breed be affectionate as well? This beautiful dog looks very happy to be hugged and to hug. The description does say "loyalty and protective nature," but I wonder if they have some inner puppy as well.
