Pakistan’s federal government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs0.84 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs2.63 per litre. The revised prices will take effect from September 25, 2026, according to Dawn and the Petroleum Division’s notification. Following the revision, petrol will be sold at Rs389.28 per litre, down from Rs390.12, while HSD will cost Rs412.12 per litre, compared with Rs414.75 previously. The government continues to impose Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on diesel. The latest revision comes amid frequent changes in domestic fuel prices linked to international market movements.
