More accessible parks, beaches, and community spaces are on the way across NSW thanks to $1.12 million in Accessible Australia funding from the Australian Government. The latest round of funding will support 11 community-led projects in NSW including new Changing Places adult change facilities, inclusive play spaces and accessible beaches. These projects will help people with disability, their families and carers access community spaces with greater independence and confidence, creating more opportunities to connect, participate and enjoy everyday experiences. Accessible Australia is a great example of partnership in action, with DCJ working alongside government, local councils and community organisations to support the goals of the NSW Disability Inclusion Plan.
