Spook Spann@spook_spann 103-YARD SHOT!! š¹ This 205-inch velvet Utah mule deer gave me the best shot Iāve ever made! I stalked within 8 yards of him, only to have a little 2-point come across the mountain and blow the whole deal. The giant buck jumped up and ran into the canyon. I quickly ranged several spots on the opposite side where he might give me another opportunity. As he started climbing the mountain, I drew my bow. It felt like 10 minutes as he walked past every spot I had ranged. The last possible shot was 103 yardsāand sure enough, he stopped right there and looked back. I fought to get level, steadied my 100-yard pin, and watched the most perfect arrow flight of my life. BAM!! Twelve-ring at 103 yards! He went about 30 yards, wobbled, and fell. A lifetime of shooting arrows since I was 13 years oldāat every distance imaginableāpaid off in that one moment. Some may question the distance or debate the ethics, but 30 years of practice prepared me for that hunt, that day, and that exact moment! And yes, the entire shot was captured over my shoulder on video. Youāll see it on Spook Nation TV!
