📌We're over halfway through the week, and it's cloudy and cool right now, but things are changing soon. An A+ weekend is expected, so plan to be outside! Let's talk about the weather headlines across NC. Thursday: The wedge/CAD will hold on into Thursday; we will have some scattered showers and drizzle around especially in Central/Western NC Thursday morning, and some showers along the Outer Banks. We will start to see more drier weather filter in by Thursday afternoon across the state. Highs will be similar to today in the 50s and 60s west, with 60s and 70s east, a tad warmer overall for most, but not much. Breezy statewide and then gusty along the Outer Banks, with Coastal Flooding risk especially during high tides and greatest impacts South of Oregon Inlet, but high surf all of the Outer Banks. Lower winds and lower surf/ low impacts for the Southern NC coast. Friday, we improve statewide with partly sunny skies returning and highs in the 60s and 70s; a chilly morning with temps falling into the 50s and low 60s away from the beaches Friday morning some 40s in the mountains. Humidity levels drop statewide Friday. The North Carolina Weekend: A Gorgeous first weekend of fall is ahead; highs will be in the 70s and low 80s all weekend long, with partly to mostly sunny skies and cooler mornings. Can't think of a nicer weekend for outdoor activities. Early next week, nice weather will linger, but each day we will get a little warmer, with mid-80s returning for many by mid next week. No rain expected Friday onward for the foreseeable future across the state. Humidity stays low early next week, but will go back up some as we work into the week. I'll keep you posted as always.
