Laura Richards@crimeanalyst Breaking: Harvey Weinstein begged for “mercy” as he was sentenced in a Manhattan courtroom today to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting Miriam Haley. Prosecutors also revealed they had recordings of him offering a podcaster $1.75 million in advance of his latest trial to smear his victims. He has previous for this - which goes to show that he has learned precisely NOTHING, he’s taken no responsibility for his behaviour and he has zero empathy for the women he has harmed. 80 women alleged he sexually assaulted them. 8-0. He said: “I am not a perfect person. I am a person who has made mistakes.” No. A mistake is a one-off - he has chosen to continue his behaviour and remains a dangerous sexual predator. He deserves no mercy. There will be a re-sentencing hearing in California. He must stay in prison until the day he dies 💀💣 #HarveyWeinstein #CrimeAnalyst #Expert
