💊✨ Promoting Safer Medicines, Building Safer Healthcare! The Department of Pharmacy Practice, Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER) successfully observed the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week 2026 from 21st to 23rd September 2026 under the theme: “Promoting Rational Use of Medicines through Pharmacovigilance – A Step Towards Safer Healthcare.” 🩺💊 The three-day celebration featured an inaugural session, Pharmacovigilance Oath and an expert guest lecture on establishing Pharmacovigilance Centres, along with engaging student activities including slogan competitions and oral presentations on ADR case studies. 📢 Day 2 witnessed a Pharmacovigilance Awareness Rally from the ABIPER campus to Kogilu Cross, spreading awareness about Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting and medication safety among the public. 🎭 Day 3 featured an impactful street play by 6th-year Pharm.D students, highlighting the importance of rational medicine use and ADR reporting. An essay competition further encouraged students to explore the importance of pharmacovigilance and patient safety. 🏆 The celebrations concluded with a valedictory function and prize & certificate distribution, recognizing the efforts of winners, volunteers and participants. The week-long initiative strengthened awareness about pharmacovigilance, rational medicine use and patient safety, while empowering future pharmacists to play an active role in building a safer healthcare system. 💙 Every Medicine Has a Purpose.
