Halifax Regional Municipality@hfxmoments Halifax Transit has launched new features in the HFXGO mobile fare payment app. The new account-based ticketing feature allows HFXGO users who have added funds to their account to select the Tap & Ride barcode button in-app to activate payment when boarding a bus or ferry. Funds are then automatically deducted from their account. This update focuses on two benefits for Halifax Transit riders: Load funds for a seamless ride: Adding funds to an account removes the need to purchase individual tickets and activate them before boarding. Lowest fare guaranteed: The new account-based ticketing feature includes fare capping, which automatically caps fares once a rider reaches the cost of a daily or monthly pass.
