The News & Observer@newsobserver The Triangle’s barbecue scene continues to thrive with recent announcements from two Triangle favorites. Sam Jones BBQ, known for its wood-fired pork with vinegar, is expanding to a new location in downtown Raleigh. Jones, a fourth-generation pitmaster, will open a stall at Morgan Street Food Hall that will be known as the Sam Jones BBQ Pit Stop. Meanwhile, the Texas-style Dampf Good BBQ will take over The Pit space in Durham’s Geer Street district, reviving the highly prominent smokehouse with one of North Carolina’s most acclaimed new barbecue menus. @aintnogaytorbait @newsobserver Why are you platforming a business who is outspoken and proud about being openly racist, anti-LGBTQ, and misogynistic, anti-immigrant? Really disappointing journalism when you support a business who has been so outspoken around hating large parts of the Durham community.
