EDM.com@edm U.S. fans are running into more than just high ticket prices 🎟️ A new study of more than 5,000 people across the U.S., UK and Australia found American fans reported higher rates of ticket fraud, inflated resale prices and missed events than respondents in the other two countries. 29% of U.S. respondents said they encountered a fake, invalid or nonexistent ticket in the past year, while 56% said they had previously paid a resale price they knew was significantly inflated. Among Gen Z respondents in the U.S., 46% reported ticket fraud. Fees are another issue, with 28% of U.S. fans saying processing charges or surprise checkout costs had stopped them from buying a ticket, compared to 20% in both the UK and Australia.
