the malayan horned frog is basically a dead leaf with legs. its pointed snout, horn-like projections above the eyes and brown colouring help it disappear almost completely into the forest floor. instead of running around looking for prey, it can stay incredibly still among fallen leaves and wait for insects and other small animals to come close. this species is found across parts of southeast asia, including malaysia, indonesia and thailand.  credits: FaisalZuhri / Wikimedia Commons; Bernard Dupont / Wikimedia Commons; Thai National Parks.
