Hannah@hannahnmaine The thoughts that go through my mind at the tail end of a Maine summer - The earlier nights are settling in. It’s going to be to be dark at 4pm in a couple months. When do we turn the heat on? It was 58 degrees in the house this morning. Did we get enough wood to last us the winter? The tourists are leaving. I’m actually ready for some snow. Oh God I’m not ready for snow. This is my favorite time of the year. The chimney got swept right? Shit, we need to get that done before the first freeze. Just to name a few. What a beautiful summer it’s been and what a gift to be able to live this life ✨

@laura_myers_art_ Love. This makes me sad. I miss Maine! We vacation there but I long to live there one day!
@thenorthern_nest I don’t have a wood stove which I sorely regret not making a requirement when we were looking to buy a house but otherwise I’m having all of these same thoughts 😅 I’ll add I’m also thinking, my husband needs new tires on his truck, the generator is still broken so I need to get that taken care of too, oil is expensive right now and we need oil (see regret for not having a woodstove), and it’s all gotta be taken care of and paid for before winter. Oh and the holidays are coming up😅
