We are launching into Autumn with your 2 new hosts, Emma Jackson and Lauren Breen, who are very excited to be taking over the reins from Toby Young. For the first instalment Lauren and Emma are bringing a lovely double alto quintet called ‘Alto Summit’, paying homage to legendary alto players. As well as this, we are excited to welcome back the @calumgourlay Big Band, playing original arrangements and compositions. Doors: 6.30pm Music from 7pm @springcafecockpit @cockpitstudios FREE ENTRY (Donations welcome) Lauren and Emma are hitting it off with an exciting Double Alto Quintet, paying homage to some of their favourite alto legends. They will be bringing original arrangements of tunes by jazz legends such as Vincent Herring, Gary Bartz, Phil Woods, Cannonball Adderley and Jackie Mclean. Joining them will be Louis Lodder on Piano, Freddie Canton on double Bass and Carter Harris on Drums. @emma._jacks0n 🎷 @laurenmariebreen 🎷 @louis_lodder 🎹 @freddcanton 🎻 @carterharris._ 🥁 Calum Gourlay is a Scottish jazz double bassist, composer and bandleader based in London. Originally from Glasgow, he is a key figure in the Uk jazz scene, performing with artists such as Kit Downes, Trish Clowes, Kurt Ellington and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra. @calumgourlay
