Halifax Regional Municipality@hfxmoments The HalifACT Youth Climate Action Fund gives you a chance to win funding for your community-based climate action project. And we are extending the deadline for applications this year to September 28! To qualify for thousands of dollars in climate action funding, you must be between the ages of 15 and 24. Eligible groups include adult-led organizations that support young people, youth-led organizations like clubs and community groups or sponsor organizations like schools, museums and community organizations. This year, we're looking for projects that address one of these important parts of climate action: - Food - Nature and Conservation - Sustainable Energy and Transportation - Climate Justice - Circular Economy - Adaptation and Resiliency With the fund, Bloomberg Philanthropies and United Cities and Local Governments have given money for climate action to cities around the globe, leading to more than 1,000 climate projects and over 100,000 young people working for a better planet. Driven by our young innovators, the HalifACT Youth Climate Action Fund has supported 30 projects and engaged more than 2,200 young people.
