If your seeds aren’t germinating, don’t automatically assume you have a “bad batch.” There are several things that can affect germination, including temperature, moisture, planting depth, seed age, and whether that crop was started in the right environment. One of the biggest things I want beginner gardeners to understand is that every seed does not have the exact same needs. Some crops are better direct sown, some do well started indoors, and different seeds may require different temperatures or conditions before they will germinate.
