There is always something special about sitting down together, listening to one another and hearing what truly matters to you. Residents from Marine Parade Braddell Heights GRC and Mountbatten SMC came together after this year’s National Day Rally to share their thoughts, concerns and hopes for Singapore. Our conversations touched on how we can better support our seniors as our population ages, how we can support families and address our low Total Fertility Rate, and the realities of caregiving. I also shared about the importance of better supporting our caregivers, many of whom quietly juggle work, family and the responsibility of caring for their loved ones every day. We heard from people from all walks of life, from students and young adults to working parents and seniors. Different stages of life bring different challenges, and it was important for us to hear these perspectives directly. There are many schemes and measures in place to support Singaporeans through different stages of life. But beyond policies and schemes, what matters is whether the support truly makes a difference in our everyday lives. Thank you to everyone who spoke up, asked questions and shared so openly. Your stories, concerns and suggestions help us understand what matters on the ground and where we can do better. Every voice matters. Keep sharing with us.
