PlaqueBoyMax and Don Toliver are two artists coming from very different sides of the modern music scene but are both building major momentum. PlaqueBoyMax, born Maxwell Elliot Dent, first became known as a Twitch streamer and music-focused creator before expanding into rapping and production. His streams, especially his “In The Booth” sessions, helped connect him with emerging and established artists, and he eventually released projects including Five Forever and, most recently, the Crash Dummy EP in May 2026. He has also continued growing his 5$TAR brand and staying active in streaming and music-related content, showing that his influence goes beyond simply being an internet personality. Going forward, Max is likely to keep combining streaming, artist discovery, production and his own music, making him an interesting figure in the way internet culture and hip-hop are increasingly connected. Don Toliver, meanwhile, is a Houston-born singer and rapper known for his melodic vocals, atmospheric production and collaborations with artists such as Travis Scott. After projects including Heaven or Hell, Life of a Don, Love Sick and Hardstone Psycho, he released Octane in 2026, which became his first No. 1 album, and followed it with the Octane tour. More recently, Don has continued touring and making high-profile appearances, including bringing Justin Timberlake onstage in Miami for a surprise performance connected to his song “Body,” while he is also scheduled to perform at Camp Flog Gnaw in November.
