JASON LEE@theonlyjasonlee Sometimes you have to stop and appreciate where the journey has taken you. 🙏🏾 I’m heading to Washington, D.C. for my first Congressional Black Caucus — and I won’t just be attending, I’ll be speaking. I’ll join Congressman Marc Veasey and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett for conversations about Black men voting in America, the issues impacting our communities, and what cities like Stockton need from our federal government. I’ll also be on Capitol Hill meeting with congressional leaders about investing in Black-owned independent media and making sure our voices, businesses and platforms have a seat at the table. Through all of this, I’m still just a proud boy from District 6 living out dreams I once couldn’t imagine. From building a career in media to creating policy and opportunities for the city I love, I never forget where I came from or who I’m doing it for. Where you start does NOT determine where you can go. From District 6 to Capitol Hill. 🏛️ Still dreaming. Still building. Still serving. ❤️
