Erin Benzakein - Floret@floretflower This past week I’ve been swimming through the jungle of dahlias in the breeding patch. I’m a few weeks later to get out there than I hoped but it’s happening, so I feel relieved. Now that all of the varieties have been properly documented, I’m trying to narrow down which ones would be the most appealing to other gardeners. There are about 100 varieties out there and my end goal is to pick out the top 10, which is proving to be quite the challenge. There are a few like this beauty that are absolutely stunning, plants are vigorous and well behaved but the flowers are quite delicate. I know I’d love it but am not sure if others would be disappointed having to take extra care when cutting. What do you think? Would that be frustrating? Also, she needs a really good name and I’d love to hear any ideas.

@jkampsanderson Stunning!! I wouldn't mind the fragility, sometimes, taking extra care is so worth it. I love the names suggested. Also, ephemeral beauty might be apt.
