For those who don’t know, Monk and Bean are just a year apart, with Monk being the oldest. I have very few pictures of them as kittens since most were on an old cell phone that died on me, but I still have these gems. They may not be the best quality photos, but they hold some of my highest quality memories. The day I brought Bean home was one of the best days of Monk’s life. From the very beginning, Monk took him under his wing. He groomed him, taught him the ropes, looked after him, and loved him like he was his own. They’ve been best friends ever since. And somehow, while they were loving and taking care of each other, they were taking care of me, too. Their love and friendship healed parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing. I say that without exaggeration. Watching these two grow up together and having the privilege of being loved by them has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. My boys. My angels.

@shell_kitty What a lovely testament to those boys! So adorable as kitties and then those little beings slowly grow into our hearts like a flower seed blossoming into love and happiness. Cats are everything.

@benjaminkittenandernie Such precious pics! We knew Benjamin needed a high-energy young fren, and when Ernie showed up on a friend's feed as a foster needing a forever home, we knew he was the one! The two shenanicats became instantly inseparable!
