City of El Cerrito@cityofelcerrito The 2026 Slurry Seal project has officially begun! 🚧 As part of our Measure A-funded Street Improvement Program, we are kicking off year two of our 5-year pavement maintenance plan. Our goal is to bring El Cerrito streets up to a "good" quality rating citywide. 📍 Where is the focus? This year, crews are working on 23 street segments in the vicinity of Potrero Avenue. 🛠️ What work is being done? • Patch paving and crack sealing • Applying protective slurry seal treatments • Installing enhanced traffic striping and pavement markings • Adding neighborhood-requested traffic signs and safety upgrades at spot locations citywide Expect minor traffic delays and temporary lane adjustments in work zones.
