It has been 25 years since the September 11 attacks. Massachusetts is honoring the victims. The Madeline “Amy” Sweeney Award for Civilian Bravery was awarded on Friday to U.S. Marine veteran T.J. Swenson Jr., who helped stop the Memorial Drive shooting in Cambridge earlier this year. Sweeney was a flight attendant from Acton who was on American Airlines Flight 11. She relayed critical information before the plane crashed into the World Trade Center.
