[Closure of True Fitness & True Yoga] It was reported that True Fitness and True Yoga have ceased operations across their outlets, leaving consumers with unutilised memberships and prepaid packages. As of 11 September 2026, the Consumers Association of Singapore - CASE has received 28 complaints from consumers affected by the closure. In total, consumers reported losses of more than $63,000 in unutilised memberships, packages and services. CASE has reached out to the provisional liquidator and will continue to seek clarification on the arrangements for affected consumers, including information required for consumers to lodge their claims. Consumers who have unutilised memberships or prepaid packages with True Fitness or True Yoga can approach CASE for assistance at 6277 5100 or visit www.case.org.sg. CASE is concerned about the impact of sudden business closures on consumers, particularly where consumers have paid upfront for long-term memberships or packages. Consumers are encouraged to exercise caution when making large upfront payments for services. Where possible, consider shorter-term payment arrangements before signing up for a package. CASE will continue to engage the Government and industry on measures to strengthen consumer protection against prepayment losses.

@nelsontks Thanks sir. I’ve a fully paid running membership till Aug 2028. 😢
@aohua.mu UFC did the exact same thing. They ran a 1-year membership promotion just one month before shutting down. I paid for the full year, trained for one month, and never got a single cent refunded. These closures are never accidents.
@inspectorgeneralofjustice Thank you for your attention to this matter. But telling consumers to “consider shorter-term payment arrangements” is not realistic. Businesses decide how their packages are structured, and they routinely require substantial upfront payments. Consumers need either a meaningful choice or real protection, not just a warning to be cautious.
