Bont Cycling - Anatomical Cycling Shoes@bontcycling One hell of a ride from @pavel_sivakov on Stage 9 of @lavuelta. 🔥 On the attack from the opening kilometres, Pavel spent almost the entire day up the road on one of the toughest stages of this year’s race — 187km and more than 5,000m of climbing. Still fighting on the final ascent of Alto de Aitana, Pavel launched solo with around 10km remaining and gave everything before eventually being caught by the GC favourites inside the final 5km. A massive day out and a thoroughly deserved Most Combative Rider award. 💪 Unfortunately, Pavel’s Vuelta has since come to an end, forced to abandon during Stage 13 after suffering in the extreme heat. Not the way he would have wanted to finish the race, but plenty to be proud of after leaving his mark on this year’s Vuelta.
