Some people and practices make you want to say: finally, we get to tell their stories. And that’s exactly how we feel about this one. A new practice on The Purple Boat, and one we are particularly excited about: Aamir + Hameeda @aamir_hameeda 💜 The Hyderabad-based design duo have spent over two decades building a practice together — without always agreeing on everything. And perhaps that’s exactly what makes their work so interesting. Aamir @aamirsharma follows instinct. Hameeda @hameedasharma likes to research. Somewhere between instinct and inquiry is a shared curiosity that allows every project to find its own voice. What we particularly love is that their work doesn’t begin with a signature waiting to be repeated. It begins with paying attention — to the place, the people, the brief, and the idea that might not have been obvious at first. From Coco Beans to Crimson House and everything in between, there is a willingness to look closely, question the obvious, and follow an idea wherever it might lead. And that’s why this feels like such a natural fit for TPB.
