My team had the opportunity to present a California State Senate Certificate of Recognition to High Country Lumber / Ace Hardware and President Scott Piercey in appreciation of their longstanding commitment to Bishop and the Eastern Sierra. For decades, High Country Lumber has been far more than a lumber and hardware business. Through sponsorships, donations, materials, and employee support, they have continually invested in our schools, youth organizations, nonprofits, community projects, and local events. Their willingness to step forward during fires, storms, and times of hardship reflects the very best of a locally committed business. It was especially meaningful to be joined by Bishop City Councilmember Jose Garcia, who previously worked at High Country Lumber, making the recognition a personal moment for him as well.
