@tylere @tularecountyda There is clear evidence in the data released by the CA Department of Cannabis Control the US government is running the largest state sponsored drug trafficking operation in history. If there were any real journalists left in our country this would be front page news. According to DCC figures California consumes 3.8 million pounds of cannabis a year, in 2025 more than 46.2 million pounds were produced by the regulated farms. State regulators claim 2.37 million pounds have been produced annually by the black market and this untaxed competition is the reason for the crash of the licensed industry. This is mathematical impossible. To put this in perspective if the DCC's estimated consumption rate for Californians was applied to the rest of the country the total annual consumption for all of the United States would be about 33 million pounds. By the DCC's estimate 1.43 million pounds are being consumed annually through the CA regulated market, at least 44.8 million pounds more than this was produced in 2025. The regulated industry is clearly the largest source of black market cannabis on the planet. This has been facilitated by both the state and federal government to allow corporate megafarms like Glasshouse to intentionally overproduce and dump their work below the cost of production crashing the wholesale market. The field is being cleared of legacy businesses ahead of national/global legalization. It is a controlled demolition and theft of an entire industry occurring in broad daylight using public funds. Superior court judge Lee Gabriel has confirmed in the HNHPC VS DCC ruling that the DCC has provided licensed distributors unrestricted access to black market sales and ordered changes to be implemented to address this issue. But the regulatory system can’t be fixed because it was built to depend on crime organized by the government to function. Without access to black market sales the regulated cannabis industry will immediately collapse as there is no market for what is being produced if it is trapped in California. This officially sanctioned drug trafficking is being protected by every level of law enforcement in the country.
