Way to go Rishika Porandla, a Summer Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program intern at PPPL and member of the class of 2028 at Princeton University, on being named a 2026-2027 Student Ambassador for the American Physical Society! In this role, she will represent PPPL and Princeton University (@Princeton) and serve as a liaison between APS (@aps.physics) and her peers by sharing resources, promoting professional development programs and strengthening the sense of belonging among physics students on campus and beyond. Porandla was also recognized by APS last fall with the Outstanding Student Presentation Award at the 67th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Plasma Physics where she presented about her work at PPPL and the Princeton Space Physics Laboratory during the summer of 2025. SULI is a paid internship opportunity sponsored and managed by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (@energy) Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS) in collaboration with DOE laboratories and facilities.
