YOSHIKI Donates €100,000 for France and Spain Wildfire Relief and ¥10 Million for Kumamoto Earthquake Relief in Japan Donations to the French, Spanish, and Japanese Red Cross support communities affected by disasters across Europe and Japan LOS ANGELES, July 29, 2026 — YOSHIKI, internationally acclaimed musician, composer, philanthropist, and widely recognized as “Japan’s biggest rock star”, has donated €100,000 to support communities affected by the devastating wildfires in France and Spain and ¥10 million to support relief efforts following the powerful earthquake that struck Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan on July 29. Through his U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Yoshiki Foundation America, YOSHIKI provided €50,000 to the French Red Cross and €50,000 to the Spanish Red Cross to assist emergency response and recovery efforts. “Even though I have lived in Los Angeles for many years, Japan will always be my home, and Europe—especially France—has also become another home to me,” YOSHIKI said. “Seeing people in France, Spain, and Japan facing such devastating disasters is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the wildfires in France and Spain, including those who have lost their homes and the courageous people working on the front lines. “My thoughts are also with everyone affected by the earthquake in Kumamoto and those waiting for news of loved ones.
