🎭 HELL’S KITCHEN REVIEW — 4/5 ⭐️ Alicia Keys’ music takes center stage in this coming-of-age story now touring across the country and making its stop in San Diego. Hell’s Kitchen follows Ali, a 17-year-old girl growing up in New York as she navigates family struggles, young love, ambition, and the complicated process of finding her own identity. ✨ What I loved: • Maya Drake’s incredible energy and stage presence • Desmond Sean Ellington’s hilarious and charismatic performance as Davis • The live band and outstanding orchestration • Alicia Keys’ music, which will have you dancing in your seat One of my favorite things about this production is how alive the theater feels when the music takes over. Songs like “Kaleidoscope” and “Empire State of Mind” are especially powerful live. Overall, Hell’s Kitchen is an energetic, entertaining musical with incredible performances and a soundtrack that makes the experience worth it.
