Brandon Davis@brandondavis_music I can’t believe this is actually happening. 7 months ago, Des and I were scrolling through Facebook when we seen a post that stopped us in our tracks … “We hate to make this announcement, but we’re closing”. One of our favorite mom and pop shops had held the doors open for as long as they possibly could before it just became too much and they had no other choice but to close . When we clicked on the comments there were dozens of other local businesses commenting that their fate was trending that way as well. And I’m man enough to admit that I cried. It’s just Destiny and I here making this dream happen behind the scenes . There’s no fancy team or “investors” funding my career. No industry gatekeepers in our pocket or anyone opening doors for us . All we have is you guys and each other. We know what it’s like to run a small business and we know how hard it can be to “keep the doors open” at times. So I cried . For the business owners. For their crushed dreams. For all those struggling right now just to keep their head above water . And as my amazing “let’s fix-it” wife does, she cried with me and hatched a plan. “What if we partnered with small businesses? We could travel the country and put on shows at places that NEED help right now”. It seemed incredible but there were so many hurdles to actually making it happen that we weren’t sure it could . But if you know my wife you know “cant” is not in her dictionary. She hit the ground running and it took 7 months to build what we are proud to call the Backroads and Barns Tour. Over 120 small businesses sent in applications to be a tour stop host . That’s mom and pop shops and little towns that NEED your support right now more than ever. And that’s also proof that this tour can’t be contained within one fall season - it will roll into 2027 and who knows - maybe the rest of my career . So here it is : The official first chapter of the “Backroads and Barns Tour”. It is a privilege to get to work with some of the most amazing business owners from farmers, to family restaurants to small towns in need of tourism . Shop LOCAL •DREAM BIG• & let’s help o
