I just want to be really clear: I’m not calling my art Impressionism - or comparing myself to Monet. But some of you are, so I figured I’d have some fun with it. Here’s the letter I’d write to M. @justlikeyou.aotearoa 😂😂😂 wow wouldn’t that be incredible to sell a painting for $111 million. Sadly you normally have to be dead Mel to reach those heights.

@twolittlelions.ca I love your paintings! As someone who sees the world very blurry without corrective aids like glasses or contacts, your paintings capture the beauty and range of true vision. There are occasions when I just want to take a short break from wearing glasses or contact lenses and experience the world as I see it naturally. It feels oddly more “honest”. Others find it hard to understand when I could just put on my glasses instead of leaning in a little too close or using my fingers to guide.
