Most people set a bedtime and hope for the best. The research says do it backwards. Your wake time is the anchor. everything else builds from there. if you need to be up at 6am your body needs to be asleep by 10pm. not in bed scrolling. asleep. 8 hours of actual sleep is not a luxury. it is the window where testosterone peaks, growth hormone releases and muscle repair happens. Miss that window consistently and no amount of training or nutrition compensates for it. The magnesium piece matters more than most people realise. 200-400mg of magnesium glycinate or malate taken 2 hours before bed reduces cortisol and supports GABA — your brain’s primary off switch. it takes 30-60 minutes to work which is why timing matters. taking it right before bed is too late. The wind-down window is where most people fail. cortisol must drop before melatonin can rise. screens, intense conversations and hard exercise in the hour before bed keep cortisol elevated and delay melatonin production. the wind-down is not optional. it is the biological prerequisite for quality sleep. The consistency rule is the most overlooked. same wake time every day including weekends. your circadian rhythm is a biological clock. varying your wake time by 2 or more hours is the equivalent of giving yourself weekly jet lag. the disruption accumulates and compounds. Find your wake time in the schedule. set your bedtime tonight. take your magnesium. start winding down 90 minutes before sleep. Your recovery depends on it. your results depend on it. Save this. apply it tonight. Less noise. more results. #sleep #recovery #musclebuilding #fitness #minimalfitx 🔗 The MinimalFitX Method. link in bio.
