I am finally getting into this and had to pause at: “I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve” and it caught me with so much heart-tugging nostalgia I unexpectedly burst into tears. Is it perfect? No. Is anything and is it a perfect little time capsule? Absolutely.

@richardgodfrayhoare If I had to pinpoint one moment in time that truly ignited my own passion for writing, it would be my discovery of Stand By Me, and subsequently, The Body novella (which, perhaps, is two moments in time, but you know what I mean). Just listened to this new adaptation, and it did not disappoint. Great work @itswilwheaton and @stephenking ❤️

Death itself returns as the Angel of Death, taking any form it desires: an elegant stranger (Brad Pitt, Joe Black again?). Murderers and sadists tremble, thinking they've escaped punishment. Their executions on the Mile would seem merciful compared to what awaits them. Death doesn't use the chair—it carries them away on the wings of night and darkness.
