When I was barely legal and still a kid, I went to NYC alone mesmerised and excited to tick off that bucket list of visiting Broadway. A stranger took this photo and it turned out to be the only photo of me i had from the trip (and yes, it’s a screenshot because the original vanished into the cloud void dammit). I left and never went back. So to be back like this is wild?! …on a billboard in Times Square because of the music? That’s insane. That girl in the photo definitely had no idea where those outstretched hands would lead. Risky, risky choices got us here—and there are more to make.
