WHAT. AN. EXPERIENCE. i sincerely dont even know where to begin. Did I really just win the Beginners’ Runner up prize?! I have been working hard on this project for the past two months and i am so happy to have been able to finish it all on time for this day that I’ve been dreaming of for so long. Back when I had assisted AnimeNYC in 2023, I had gone to watch the cosplay masquerade and I came out in complete awe and in tears. Because I knew back then that I wanted to be alongside those stars I saw onstage. I finally felt prepared enough to challenge myself to compete outside of Puerto Rico for the first time in the perfect setting at New york. It wasnt easy at all having to make everything travel-safe but luckily, nothing happened to the cosplay while traveling. I had many issues with my health and emotions but it was all thanks to my friends and fiancée (hehe post coming soon) who helped me throughout every step of the way by being there, making sure I was fed and hydrated when I often forgot to tend to my needs due to my nerves, fixing any details on my cosplay, helping me put it on and off, or basically just showing how much they love me in any way they could before, during and after. This experience definitely showed me how grateful I am to have such a positive support group by my side. I won in experience, friendship, love, and happiness❤️ I kept seeing notifications of all the messages I got from you guys showing your support before I went on stage and you have NO idea how much they helped ease my nerves to know that I have so many people supporting me and loving what I do. I will continue to create silly costumes that bring me and many others joy.
