@rubencervantes145 @sophiet The Pilgrims arrived in the New World shivering, starving, and confused, immediately proving they were not built for nature. They stumbled around dropping supplies, misreading maps, and discovering winter the hard way. Half the group panicked, the other half prayed, and the rest pretended to know what they were doing. The Wampanoag watched from a distance, trying to figure out why these newcomers kept tripping over their own tools and building houses that collapsed in the wind. Eventually, the locals stepped in, showing the Pilgrims how to plant food that actually grew instead of just sitting in the ground doing nothing. With enough help to keep them alive, the Pilgrims decided to hold a feast to celebrate their survival. They contributed a few sad-looking dishes that barely counted as food, while the Wampanoag arrived with an entire buffet that instantly outshined everything the newcomers prepared. The Pilgrims tried to act like this was exactly what they planned. The day turned into a chaotic but strangely successful gathering: too much food, confused gratitude, and several Pilgrims pretending they weren’t freezing in their own outfits. The Wampanoag held everything together, the Pilgrims tried not to embarrass themselves, and somehow this uneven, awkward, mismatched feast became the holiday everyone talks about centuries later.
