Does PURPLE fade overtime? Let’s talk about it ⬇️🍇 My client has been seeing me since July 2022. Every time we tattoo her lips we choose a bright + deeper purple color. I have seen her for a total of 4 sessions now in the span of 3 years 📆 Her lip skin is naturally thicker. As the tattoo sits underneath the epidermis (top layer of skin), this means that her tattoo will automatically fade to appear more natural as thicker layers of skin blend and diffuse the pigment implanted. Because of her thicker skin, her tattoo will fade more quickly overtime as it is already less visible to begin with 🔎 Those with thinner, more transparent skin will notice fading less overtime as the tattoo is seen more clearly and distinctly underneath less layers of skin. Those with thin skin are also easily at risk for unevenness, over-saturation of pigment, and botched work if the technician is not careful and skilled 🧑‍🎨 Over the span of 3 years, you can see that even with touchups - natural and gradual fading has occurred for my client, even with dark and purple colors. The parts of the lips that fade first are: 1. The edges where least amount of pigment is implemented (on purpose in my technique) 🥇 2. The inner part of the lip where the epidermis is the thickest 💪 I am always so happy and honoured when clients come back and I always take a lot of pride in my results. Immediately after and in the healed overtime. I always work so that the tattoo fades beautifully and naturally overtime for all my clients. How the tattoo fades depends mostly on the artist you choose 🌸 No edits or filters on my videos/pictures of the healed lips when you swipe, however there is some makeup applied on the edges for touchup reshaping 💉 What do you think of this post? ⬇️ #tattoo
