@chalantnerd Respected Sir, Reducing Bihar’s Student Credit Card direct limit from ₹4 lakh to ₹2 lakh is a major setback for higher education. Most professional and technical courses cost far more than ₹2 lakh.Forcing low-income students to approach commercial banks for the remaining amount revives the exact bureaucratic hurdles this scheme was meant to eliminate. Higher education should be an equalizer, not a privilege. The government must restore the ₹4 lakh direct limit to protect the dreams of poor students.While the government notes that additional funds can be sought via commercial banks and the PM-Vidyalaxmi framework, this shift introduces unnecessary bureaucracy. The core strength of the state credit card system was single-window, hassle-free state assurance. Forcing students into the complex maze of commercial banking for anything above ₹2 lakh revives the exact financial exclusion the scheme set out to cure. It's my appeal to the government to bring back the limit atleast to rupees 4 lakh.
