With sesame or without? Labneh “strained yoghurt”: Typically eaten throughout Lebanon for breakfast or as a mezze dish. Can be served as a dip or in ball form. Ever wonder why Teta would have that dripping cloth sack hanging in the kitchen or the bathroom? Well the straining process Teta was using allows the labneh to be formed into balls that can be preserved in olive oil for up to 6 months. It also removes some of the lactose, reducing the bad sugar content while condensing the good proteins. Don’t forget that Teta always knows best! Come get your homemade labneh at the souk at the Gefinor Center, Wednesdays 12pm-6pm. #TetaKnowsBest #SoukElTayeb #GefinorCenter #Labneh
