After weeks of anticipation, the genre-blurring artist has revealed the project’s release date alongside its striking cover artwork, created by legendary Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano. Known for his iconic fantasy artwork, Amano said 2hollis felt “very close to the kind of character I have always drawn — as though he had stepped directly out of one of my paintings,” making the collaboration feel especially fitting for 2hollis’ dark, futuristic aesthetic. The album has already begun taking shape through the singles “Hurt” and “S-x,” with both tracks showcasing his evolving blend of electronic production, atmospheric textures, and emotionally charged songwriting. “Hurt” introduced the new era with its intense, hypnotic sound, while “S-x” takes a more intimate and seductive direction. With Pirouette, 2hollis appears to be pushing his sound and visual identity even further, building a world that feels as surreal and unpredictable as the artwork surrounding it.
