Kyuto Tashiro had one regret after his first date with Jinhee Oh. Asking what her plans were following their early-morning coffee date, to which Jinhee replied that she had none, and he said he was going to run errands. "On the way there I was like, I totally screwed that up," Kyuto says. Although he missed his opportunity to keep the first date going, he didn't miss his chance at a future with Jinhee. "He did text me pretty quickly afterward, saying, 'I should have asked you to lunch, I'm so sorry,' and that actually meant more to me; he was just so thoughtful and sincere," Jinhee says. After a short but sweet courtship, Kyuto and Jinhee decided to tie the knot, setting a date in October last year. The couple’s family, some traveling from as far as Japan and Korea, was a pivotal part of the wedding day as well. Kyuto and Jinhee wanted to make sure they took time to have meaningful conversations with their roughly 120 guests, and the Garage B venue in Brighton, Mass. gave them the space to do so. “I think everyone had a lot of fun hanging out, catching up with each other at the long tables and sitting as one whole unit,” Kyuto says. “People were relaxed," Jinhee adds.
