Stroll into Steplane’s Nantucket boutique, and you’ll immediately notice the tartan: plush folded blankets arranged beside fine jewelry, embroidered sweaters, and linens. As the island’s first and only registered Scottish tartan, it’s a symbol for a new era in ACK shopping. Last summer’s arrivals of founder-driven brands like Dôen and Asha hinted at the shift. This season, it feels undeniable. Just down the street from Steplane (@steplanenantucket) is the recently opened TWP, a New York–based luxury sportswear label, as well as a nostalgic new boutique from Tuckernuck. For more about the founder-driven labels that’ve opened this summer, click the link in our bio. 🖋️ Jaci Conry (@jaciboston) Photos: Karin Dailey (@karindailey, slide 1), Barbara Zachary (TWP, slide 3), and courtesy (slide 2+4)
